Suzy Slykin is an artist centered in Middle Tennessee. Suzy’s work is conceptually based and materially informed; her practice incorporates painting, performance, sculpture, video and text. Suzy investigates her human experience through the lens of a transsexual millennial. She uses her body as a divining rod to discover new worlds where gender and sexuality are continually deconstructed and reformed into the image of an authentic self. Suzy graduated from Lipscomb University in 2014 with BFA in Studio Art. Since graduating, she has transitioned genders, built a house at an off-grid community, and enlarged the sexual compasses of countless adult humans.
