Chris Harsch is a fast growing artist, originally from New Orleans; he is quickly becoming recognized for his brightly painted portraits and figures. Chris has always been drawn to the human form as it pertains to a two dimensional surface, and how an artist through technique and skill can turn a flat surface like a painting into something that seems real. Most commonly known for his heavily painted portraits Chris has developed a certain style using thick paint scrapped along a canvas to reveal his subject matter. Allowing the painting to keep abstract shapes and designs, but still keeping the representation of a portrait intact is what is most important to him. Every brushstroke has a purpose, and while his work is ultimately representational he wants it to be very obvious that his paintings look very painterly.
