Celeste is a painter and a researcher at heart. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2015 with a degree in child studies and studio art, and originally joined the Ground Floor family soon after! While working through school she developed a passion for the research process, especially regarding human cognitive development. In an effort to marry her two passions, she sees her work as an artist largely as an investigation- of self, creativity, the qualities of her chosen mediums, and how they all mesh. She asks questions such as “what is light” “what is paint” and “what is vision” (among many others) and allows those questions and answers to unfold in layers upon canvases. She is glad to join her questions to the conversation at Ground Floor.
